Magazine.Barbaricum is seeking a Digital Marketing Strategist to support a contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for its Healthcare Recruitment Marketing and Advertising efforts. The Digital Marketing Strategist will help develop and execute digital marketing, advertising, and media buying plans and strategies. This person will manage client relations to ensure all work and deliverables are delivered on time and to high quality. This position requires a background check and is based in Washington, DC.Responsibilities- Lead social media marketing for VA Healthcare recruitment initiatives.
- Guide advertising campaigns that inform, engage, and encourage the top healthcare professionals to Choose VA.
- Manage competing deadlines and client relations, as well as advise on internal and external stakeholder advertising initiatives.
- Oversee routine reporting on several contract task areas.
- Conduct VA healthcare recruitment-marketing evaluation, including media buy performance and cost analysis.
Qualifications- At least 5 years of experience in marketing and advertising.
- Strong communication planning experience, to include writing plans and conducting measurement and analysis.
- Ability to oversee and provide guidance to digital marketing plans and campaign execution that includes organic and paid social media.
- Efficient and effective problem solving experience to deliver collaborative results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data analytics to track and analyze ROI on marketing and advertising efforts.
- Experience managing other team members.
- Must possess strong writing and editing skills, as well as excellent verbal / written communication and a high attention to detail.
- Ability to provide guidance and recommendations to clients on improving marketing and advertising results.
- Understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle to manage scope, schedule, deliverables, quality control, cost, risk, and issues.
- Technical experience managing and problem solving data sets in spreadsheets in Excel, Google Sheets, and/or Data Studios. Must also have advanced skills with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with media buying preferred.
- Experience in marketing and advertising for recruitment a plus.
- Experience working for the VA, DoD, or military a plus.
- Experience in healthcare communications a plus.
