Overview:

WS Development is seeking a Director of Development who will be responsible for managing various components of the Seaport project, including assignments ranging from a high-rise multi-use tower and garage to public realm improvement projects and multiple other aspects of WS’ Seaport project. This position will manage multiple aspects of each project from remaining regulatory approvals, team assembly, design management, preconstruction, construction, leasing support, and closeout. She or he will also be responsible for developing and accountable for tracking to an overall project budget and schedule, in addition to supporting the construction financing process. This role will report to the Vice President of Development at WS Development with frequent interaction with the SVP Seaport and other interdisciplinary team members.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading both internal and external project teams, managing urban high rise construction projects of exceptional design quality, and navigating aggressive project schedules while managing multiple constituencies and stakeholder demands. This position will work closely with internal stakeholders and should be comfortable leaning on personal experience while executing on feedback from both internal and external sources and providing direction that is based on an inclusive decision-making process and focused on driving each project towards its overall goals.

Immediate Opportunity/Initial Success:

Initial success will include the development of strong, collaborative relationships with your cross-functional partners across company disciplines, including Construction, Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing, as well as key external partners and the consultant team. This role will be managing a large development project with an ongoing and complicated associated enabling project. Navigating the project through design working with a world-class architecture firm while maintaining budget and schedule and driving the team towards construction commencement is the immediate opportunity.

Potential for Growth/Longer Term Success:

Through your passion for development and construction, additional Seaport projects will be assigned. Additional internal support will be sought to assist with administrative responsibilities. Over time, your experience will help shape one of the largest private development projects in the country.

EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management; 8-10 plus years of experience in AEC field; OPM or Owner experience is required.
