Job Description

You have a direct and important impact on our ability to deliver high-quality graphics to our production printers. You are a vital member of the Production Art team. They play a key role in our most valued process - creating original art and message for our communities of customers.


We are ready to hire now and looking for someone who wants to be part of our growing and optimistic team. We are working remotely until at least September 2021. When we're together, we're located in the innovative Fort Point neighborhood.

YOUR OBJECTIVE

Be the graphic support to the growing Direct-to-Garment business at Life is Good. Set up systems that will streamline and organize the everyday process for DTG. Add to the creative vision of the company through your artistic abilities.

YOUR JOB

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Optimize the graphic assets for each collection to work best with the DTG printing process
  • Facilitate the flow of artwork from Life is Good to the DTG printers; provide graphic support on-site at the Hudson office, NH when needed (must have transportation)
  • Work with the DTG team in Hudson, NH to establish standards in graphic quality
  • Use keen sense of color, eye for detail, and design knowledge to approve finalized graphics on press
  • Work closely with the Graphics Manager to ensure on-product graphics have a consistent creative direction and comply with The Life is Good brand standards
  • Manage "fast" graphics in an efficient and time sensitive manner to support the continued flow of DTG production and follow the outlined project calendar
  • Maintain entry of graphics in PLM, maintain accuracy in the PLM system
  • Organize and maintain digital and hard copy files of the artwork
  • Willing to own the development of the DTG process and help streamline where improvements can be made
  • Actively research current trends in graphics and direct-to-garment printing techniques
  • Spend most of the time looking at a computer monitor and using a keyboard, spend time making line sheets and mechanicals, must be able to visually discern graphic art, color, size and dimension, be able to life up to 50 pounds

Requirements

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • You have a firm grounding in design principles and understanding of typography and design theory
  • You possess a strong graphic design portfolio
  • You demonstrate an ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments and approve on press
  • You are knowledgeable on the DTG and screen printing processes
  • You are proficient in MAC OS, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word and Excel; willingness to learn new Direct to Garment technologies or software
  • You have an overall understanding of the casual market, the competition landscape and a optimistic attitude
  • You speak and write clearly, simply and succinctly
