About You
As a purchasing manager within the operations department, your key focus will be to effectively source, purchase, forecast, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods to the distribution centers in Boca Raton, FL. This includes working with product development and marketing teams to keep each category updated with new product features to drive customer acquisition and retention.
What you will do
- Work with product development to effectively understand vendor relationships, qualifications, and purchasing methods.
- Implement and use key features of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to analyze performance in areas like consumer purchasing, inventory, and quality, and implement inbound and outbound purchases to distribution centers and directly to consumer.
- Prepare demand forecasts for seasonal products and cost effectively on a monthly and annual basis for multiple product categories (rolling 12-month forecast).
- Implement cost strategies with the marketing department to ensure responsiveness to trends, new products, and replenishment of goods.
- Optimize timeliness and accuracies of deliveries of all product launches to further assist with the marketing campaigns.
- Optimize supply chain strategies and tactics with 3PL logistics companies.
- Adhere to annual procurement budgets and manage portfolio of SKUs for each product category.
- Work with product development on sourcing of new products and supply chain logistics.
- Build vendor relationships through purchasing and product development. This includes controlling costs, reducing risks, negotiating key terms, and supporting production schedules.

Requirements
- 3+ years in procurement/supply management, retail preferred.
- Procurement experience with purchasing plans and budget management, preferably in apparel, with sourcing from China, South America, and domestic United States vendors. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, finance or related.
- Technically savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. Experience in WMS, MRP, and ERP platforms for both E-commerce and retail.
