The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly-motivated, well-organized and laboratory-focused senior or principal research associate that will pay a key role in designing and executing cell-based assays and developing new platforms to evaluate our proprietary compounds. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the generation of novel therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. Position level will commensurate with experience. Requirements: •BS or MS degree in cell/molecular biology or oncology•Expertise in mammalian tissue culture and cell-based assays to evaluate viability (small molecule compound screening), protein production (western blot), gene expression analysis (qRT-PCR) and other functional/molecular biology assays•At least 3 years relevant hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry•Experience in immunofluorescence a plus•Ability to develop, optimize and troubleshoot new cell-based assays•Efficient time management and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously•Strong interpersonal skills and effectively communicate with multiple research teams•Has the ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities and timelines•Attention to detail and enthusiasm for integrating basic science learnings with drug discovery effortsWhen you work at IDEAYA, you will be in the midst of brilliant minds working on precision medicine therapies to help cancer patients. Requirements
