Job Description

Based in San Francisco and reporting to Senior Director, Global Sponsorships, the Key Account Manager, Global Sponsorships is responsible for managing a book of business of high value accounts and will provide concierge level service to the clients while also actively working to upsell and expand the portfolio when applicable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full post-sale client relationship for a growing book of business of large wine groups globally
  • Provide strategic advice to help client accounts grow
  • Schedule and conduct monthly optimization calls with each client
  • Generate and conduct quarterly business reviews on partner performance
  • Liaise with the Global Sponsorships Success team and Wine Content team as necessary to complete onboarding
  • Identify opportunities to further enhance client relationships and lead new initiatives to improve engagement


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Has a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5-7 years phone sales and/or account management experience
  • Has a growth mindset. The Global Sponsorships Team is a start up within Vivino, so you should be comfortable operating outside of your comfort zone. If you like to challenge yourself, push the boundaries and expand your skill set, then you can be successful with us.
  • Is a strategic thinker. Your clients will have oftentimes large brand teams and will recommend evolutions to the product we may be willing to implement. You will need to be the sort of person who thinks through the pros and cons of these requests and recommends the best course of action to bubble up their feedback.
  • Has excellent communication skills. You will be liaising with the other sales reps and with ever evolving marketing teams without our clients’ orgs. You need to be able to clearly get your point across with a diverse cross-continental group both internally and externally.
  • Is endlessly positive. If you are a person that chooses to have great days even (especially!) when things don’t go your way, if you are fundamentally positively-charged and setbacks and unpleasant surprises just roll off your back, then you can be successful with us.
