Custom Metal Designs, Inc. was established in 1972 by Saul Grimes, who, after working in the packaging industry, saw the need for a conveyor system to automate the packaging process. From there, Custom Metal Designs continued to innovate its conveyor designs and add to the automation with supporting equipment such as baggers and debaggers. We are looking for an experienced Custodial Facility Maintenance to support our team and maintain our facility spotless. You will be responsible for keeping all indoor and outdoor areas clean, organized, and free of debris. You will also perform minor building maintenance.

Location: We are in Oakland, FL, 23 minutes from Orlando.

Position Responsibilities:

• Clean assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stocks supplies daily with paper products and cleaning solution, as necessary.
• Clean public areas, restrooms, offices, and ancillary rooms.
• Collect and dispose of trash in an appropriate manner.
• Sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, high dusting, washing, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Maintain break room and appliances clean and sanitized.
• Facility maintenance such as change light bulbs, assemble, or install minor items.
• Maintain cleanliness on the immediate exterior and interior of the facility.
• Assist in setting up tables and chairs as needed for different functions.
• Secure storage and maintain supply inventory.

• Follow all company rules, policies, and quality standards.
• Completes work priorities as assigned by supervisors.
• Perform other such duties as may be required.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools.
• Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced work environment.
• Work well with others and work as a team.
• Display and maintain enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
• Time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience as a housekeeping or custodial.
