Custom Metal Designs, Inc. was established in 1972 by Saul Grimes, who, after working in the packaging industry, saw the need for a conveyor system to automate the packaging process. From there, Custom Metal Designs continued to innovate its conveyor designs and add to the automation with supporting equipment such as baggers and debaggers. Today, the business has evolved to become a leading robotic integrator in the packaging industry.

We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator to support the production team. You will produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the engineered blueprints and schematics.

Location: We are in Oakland, FL, 23 minutes from Orlando.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operate Trumpf brakes and other machinery used in the production process or assist other machine operators.
  • Select proper tools and dies based on material thickness and type.
  • Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment.
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Consistently produce usable product that meets the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all company rules, policies, and quality standards.
  • Completes work priorities as assigned by supervisors.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must hold valid Driver License.
  • The ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 60 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Work well with others and work as a team.
  • Display and maintain enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
  • Must cooperate with other associates maintain a clean and safe working environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience operating a press brake.
