About Extend: Extend is modernizing the $100 billion-per year extended warranty and protection plan industry using cutting edge technology, and top notch customer service. With a $40M Series B round of funding, we are ready to continue to scale our organization.
Our API-first solution allows any merchant to offer extended warranties and protection plans, both online and offline, while also providing a merchant's end customers with a vastly improved and modern support experience that eliminates many of the issues customers face today with legacy underwriters.
We are a venture backed startup based in downtown San Francisco (and since COVID began, fully remote) that is led by founders who have previously had multiple successful exits. Extend is simplifying the technology stack for the extended warranty industry, in the same way that Stripe did for online payments and Affirm did for consumer point of sale financing.What You'll Do
  • Design the strategy, playbook, and roadmap for Extend’s partnerships organization across technology partners, platform partners, and channel partners
  • Hire and manage a team of high performing individuals that will make up the partnerships organization
  • Identify amp; develop relationships with key solution partners
  • Own and develop relationships at all levels of Extend’s leadership team
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop robust ‘go to market’ campaigns amp; strategies
  • Identify and craft new offerings to collaborate with our partners to drive industry leadership and new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and drive requirements to develop and scale programs, operations and business strategy
  • Partner with the Product and Engineering teams in roadmap development and evaluating build/buy/partner opportunities
  • Represent Extend and our brand externally given public-facing facets of the role
  • Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches amp; innovations
What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years experience in high-growth Business Development, Partnership Management or Channel Partnerships
  • 4+ years of building and leading high-performance teams
  • Familiarity with Fintech and/or eCommerce is a plus
  • Clear communication, structured thinking, organization, and project management skills
  • Strong collaborator who can build relationships across the organization, especially with leadership and the executive team
  • Strong negotiator and big, ambitious thinker in regards to how we drive value with our partners
  • Comfortable working in a highly results-oriented environment, building new workstreams amp; processes
