Kids Science Labs (www.kslchicago.com), the world leader in creativity and innovation education, is seeking to hire our next great teacher, a motivated, passionate individual, to guide kids in their discovery of hands-on science, problem solving, and creativity at our gorgeous Northbrook learning center. A successful teacher must not only believe strongly in KSL's mission, but also have the ability to adapt, learn, and most importantly, engage kids ages 2-12. We are seeking teachers to help kids discover their world and change the delivery of education. No homework. No standards. No grades. While a background in science is not required, you must have a passion for creativity, thoughtfulness, engaging children, and delivering exceptional service.
While it is great if you have your teaching certification, we believe firmly that great teachers are everywhere, so whether you are a barista, customer service representative, or assistant teacher in a traditional classroom, if you can communicate well, engage kids, and have the desire to provide exceptional customer service to fellow teachers, parents, and the kids that visit KSL weekly for classes, camps, parties and field trips, then we likely want to speak with you. We have an excellent training program for people outside the education industry who desire to become teachers. Pre-school teachers are encouraged to apply. Creative artists, theatre majors, music educators, preschool teachers and research scientists who love kids are all encouraged to apply to Kids Science Labs.
Teaching a KSL is exciting, and all subject areas come from questions that kids ask, such as how do tall building stay up, what's behind the sink, and why can't I mix my soda with milk? At KSL, we inspire kids today, to build a better future tomorrow and as such, it is not just about science, but more about leading kids in their everyday discoveries using hands-on science as a tool for learning.
