1871 seeks a professionally driven, detail-oriented, and highly motivated intern to support its Early-Stage Member Experience Team. The 1871 Early-Stage Member Experience Team works closely with all parts of our business to ensure an impactful end-to-end experience for our early-stage members and startup founders.

Duties and responsibilities

This intern will be working with the Director of Membership and Manager of Membership to manage the current Early-Stage Member CRM + database and the Early-Stage Alumni database. Project components are:

  1. Streamlining data migration from Hubspot (lead generation) to our member CRM
  2. Streamlining data migration and coding APIs from CRM to trackers in google spreadsheets
  3. Developing processes to update Alumni data better and the progress alumni startups are making
  4. Creating a better mechanism to tack the demographic breakdown of our community
  5. Develop a data report to track member engagement

Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage data on airtable, 1871 CRMS, excel and google sheets
  • Managing data from CRM and knowing to pull and create reports
  • Understand the ins and outs of the 1871 CRM
  • Be able to propose new processes and ideate on better ways to stitch together data

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal (including phone work), and written communication skills
  • Basic computer processing skills, including Microsoft Office and Internet
  • College coursework or comparable work experience preferred
  • Previous internship experience is preferred
  • Preference will be given to college juniors and seniors
  • Interest in the Tech/Entrepreneurship and Non-Profit Sectors
  • Experience coding APIs and coordinating plug-ins to streamline data processing
  • Can pick up new platforms and complicated processes quickly and identify areas for improvement
  • Proficient in data analytics

Time: Monday - Thursday, 10 am-4 pm (hours and time commitment may be flexible if agreed upon by the supervisor and the internship candidate prior to the start of the internship)
