Job Description
As part of the Cubii Product Team, this role will manage the company’s flagship product line, a Compact Seated Elliptical that is disrupting the fitness industry. This role will be the technical liaison to bridge business needs and manufacturing execution. Main responsibilities include managing product development, overseeing commercialization amp; optimizing profitability. This role reports into the Director of Innovation.
Responsibilities
1) Product Lifecycle Management for elliptical portfolio
- Own end-to-end project management for product development, and manage cross-functional work to ensure successful execution
- Develop 3yr pipeline for core ellipticals (new technology, new features, and channel-differentiation)
- Create technical product requirements amp; delegate tasks to mechanical amp; electrical engineers
- Ongoing quality improvement of existing products to ensure reliable amp; frictionless user experiences
- Partner directly with overseas manufacturing partners for commercialization
- Ensure products maintain regulatory amp; compliance standards
2) Optimize Pamp;L for Elliptical line
- Create Pamp;L’s for new launches amp; existing product improvements
- Scope amp; manage project costs for development, prototyping amp; tooling
- Track revenue amp; profitability across products amp; channels
- Manage forecasting amp; inventory with Sales amp; Operations
3) Partner with marketing amp; sales to execute channel growth strategies
- Ensure packaging (structure amp; graphics) meets the needs for D2C and in-store retail channels
- Project management for marketing initiatives, such as new collateral, product bundles and product color variations
- Develop and substantiate impactful product claims
- Develop policies for Warranties, Returns and Customer Service
4) Maintain pulse on the category amp; consumer
- Proactively identify amp; implement product improvements based on consumer feedback, category trends amp; consumer behavior
- Track competitive activity in the compact elliptical category
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years in a Product Manager or similar role
- Must have experience in technical product category (i.e. appliances, IoT)
- Experience leading cross-functional product development teams
- Experience working directly with overseas manufacturing
- Experience in fitness industry, consumer electronics or CPG
