Vice President, Business Development North America

Sensyne Health is seeking an influential, accomplished, and collaborative leader to help shape and promote our mission to accelerate medical research and improve patient care, building the Sensyne brand within North American pharmaceutical markets. Your ability to identify, assess, negotiate, and finalize new business opportunities will build our portfolio of stateside clients.

You will report into our President, North America, with an additional functional reporting line into our UK-based Chief Business Officer. You will play a key role in securing commercial pipelines and delivering business wins within our global commercial strategy. You’ll be a key early hire in the US, and the focal point of our life sciences commercial strategy as we grow North American operations.

How you’ll help

We’re an entrepreneurial company on a high growth trajectory working in a dynamic and evolving market sector. We’re very much mission led, with a patient-centred worldview and an ethical approach to delivering on the promise of healthcare data.

Leading key negotiations with major partners, along with providing thought leadership and BD execution capabilities for new business initiatives, you will take responsibility for commercial partnership evaluation and business wins. We are looking for someone who is intensely collaborative and passionately focused on the customer.

Responsibilities:

    • Generate commercial revenue through prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals with life sciences companies in the North American market
    • Work closely with Sensyne’s Chief Business Officer to coordinate activities on existing global pharma clients, plus sales opportunities with a cross-market scope
    • Assist the organisation with developing business models and creative deal terms to align priorities
    • Build, nurture, and grow trust-filled relationships with clients to position Sensyne for ongoing commercial success
    • Support in-depth competitor landscape analysis and research.

Requirements

  • Extensive business development and commercial experience: You know how to design and close deals
  • Clear understanding of the opportunities afforded through AI and its clinical applications: You understand the value in our work.
  • Demonstrable expertise in building partnerships with life science companies across the clinical development ecosystem, encompassing Pharma, Biotech, and CRO. You understand the marketplace.
  • Demonstrable track record of creating and supporting partnerships between pharma and life science companies: You have an impressive background in high-quality work and the sector thinks highly of your contribution.
  • Broad network of senior level contacts across the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry: You know the right people to speak with.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical company development process with a strong appreciation of RWE, patient stratification, distributed trials and synthetic control arms: You understand the complexity and know the hurdles.
  • Expertise in account management processes and ability to support complex strategic partnerships: You prize successful customers as highly as new customers.
  • Ability to analyse market opportunities and to link to opportunities across the company’s clinical AI expertise: You can think ahead.
  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to structure partnerships: You know how to move from first contact to customer
