We are looking for an immediate HR Consultant to effectively manage small client accounts for various industries. The HR Consultant will provide guidance, training, and support to our clients in the areas of strategic talent optimization management, employment law compliance, employee relations, organizational development, change management, benefits administration, workers’ compensation administration, and the overall development of best practices in human resources. This consultant will be able to work 100% remotely. Hourly rate will fluctuate based on client budget and project assigned. This is a consulting position that pays based on invoiced hours for each client.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Audit amp; Evaluation

  • Review all Employment Paperwork, current processes, and Employee Handbook ensuring compliance and updating all material using our internal database of resources.
  • Ensure all employment paperwork and Form I9s are correctly saved for all current employees by conducting an HR audit.
  • Evaluates the needs of client organizations on an ongoing basis and recommends services and processes that promote efficiency.
  • Serves as the go-to person for all employees, managers, and the leadership team on all things Human Resources.

General HR Administration

  • In-charge of onboarding and terminations for assigned client accounts.
  • In-charge of policy updating to ensure client accounts are in state, federal, and industry-related compliance.
  • Manages employee relations issues and the dispute resolution process.
  • Execute Corporate compensation plans with the management team and assists with compensation programs for all client accounts. (Ex: compensation planning, performance review process, filing of all reviews, sending out for processing, etc.).
  • In-charge of all benefits administration, leaves, disabilities, and Worker’s Compensation claims for client accounts.
  • Assist and contributes to special and cross-functional projects as needed.

Additional Ad Hoc HR Projects (as needed)

  • Employer Branding: Assist with employer branding through various social media accounts.
  • Learning amp; Development: Evaluates, and analyzes training/development needs and acts as liaison to the leadership and management team as appropriate to develop training opportunities to the client accounts.
  • People metrics: Track and report staffing, retention, attrition, and other helpful data to line management; recommend programs and/or enhancements as necessary.
  • Talent Optimization: Guides, influences and trains clients’ management team members with key performance conversations, performance issues and overall management development to ensure talent optimization framework is being met.
  • Coaches leaders to enhance performance/effectiveness.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience working as an HR Consultant and/or HR BP
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or similar field of study
  • Must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have expert level knowledge in US state and federal compliance and strong understanding pertaining to federal laws and agencies

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • 6 years’ experience working as an HR Executive is highly preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources is highly preferred
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP is highly preferred
  • Preferred candidates will have global HR operations experience in Canda, Australia, Asia and Europe.
  • Talent Optimization Certification from the Predictive Index or knowledge of using a similar framework is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to write, develop and deliver successful presentations and facilitate trainings to individuals and groups at all levels of an organiza
