Job Description
We are seeking a Financial Controller who will take on a key leadership role in the continuing growth of our 3D medical and dental imaging company. This position will have an active role in monthly reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and developing and implementing new finance and accounting processes and procedures.
The Controller will be responsible for all the accounting operations, maintaining adequate accounting records, enhancing the accuracy of financial reports, and improving internal controls and validation system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leads and directs the organization's accounting functions and oversees all accounting operations
- Establishes and maintains the organization's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies
- Develop and implement new procedures as needed
- Directs all analysis and reporting of financial information including budgets, financial planning/forecasts and required filings and reports
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, reporting and analysis
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Facilitate and track stock options
- Treasury and cash management duties
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls over accounting transactions
- Coordinate provisions and tax planning preparations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
- Current CPA highly preferred
- 10+ years of related work experience
- 5+ years of proven work experience as a Financial Controller or Director of Accounting
- 3+ years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience developing and implementing accounting operation systems, policies and procedures
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP
- Experience with international subsidiary accounting
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- People management experience leading and supervising an accounting team
