Job Description
Springbot is seeking a QA Engineer to join one of the fastest growing and innovative startups in Atlanta. As our ideal candidate, you will take on the challenging task of making sure our software is reliable and our organization is aligned on the importance of shipping high-quality / low-defect code. Additionally, you will have a strong sense of precision, urgency and passion for what you do. In this role you will:
- Develop, verify and validate system test cases/plan for software application based on requirements and technical specifications as well as system integration and implementation
- Validate end to end functionality and enhancement requests
- Provide timely and risk based feedback to improve quality of the application
- Take a proactive role in researching and implementing more effective test practices
- Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team and project goals
- Communicate directly with Product Management team and other stakeholders to establish test criteria
- Actively participate in all parts of the Agile development process on a product development team.
- Ensure all features are tested and approved before being deployed.
- Communicate problems and defects in a positive, proactive, and detailed manner.
- Document and report on software performance issues.
- Improve product stability and reduce defects over time.
Requirements
- 1+ years of software QA experience
- Experience testing an enterprise web application
- Experience working in an Agile shop preferred.
- Knowledge of end-to-end testing procedures, techniques and tools
- Ability to create test plans and test cases by analyzing requirements, setting up testing environments and executing test scripts
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Basic scripting / programming knowledge
- Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Extra Credit:
- Comfortable working with Linux-like environments
- Background with Heroku is helpful
- Familiarity with commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, or BigCommerce
