Job Description

A Business Development and Channel Sales Manager at EdCast is a senior individual contributor role empowered to execute the full sales cycle in a whitespace market along with several high-capacity channels. Starting with over a million SMB organizations (1000 employees or less) achieve enterprise grade learning, skilling and career mobility capabilities; You will empower channels to bring these capabilities to their customers.

To do this, you are customer centric, passionate about learning, skilling and bringing the gift of career mobility to organizations where resources are limited and challenges great. You are committed to win, taking advantage of the untapped market that could benefit from EdCast product offering which makes learning and skill building a natural part of work.

You will multiply the business impact by harnessing the power of channels, including key companies and marketplaces including ADP, Zenefits, AWS and more; to extend the reach and results beyond individual teams.

You should have the discipline, grit, a proven track record of developing and executing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans; hitting quarterly targets, building relationships and helping customers and channel partners succeed. You will be comfortable running the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closure on a regular cadence using the best available sales tools in the market.

As a Business Development amp; Channel Sales Manager, your core tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Create and drive revenue in your market.
  • Develop and execute a business plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Develop account plans- where appropriate for new relationships, building, maintaining and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships
  • Possess a full understanding of customers’ specific decision-making and purchasing process, understanding their business needs and objectives
  • Responsible for navigating through the customer organization to connect buyers and influencers
  • Generate leads from traditional and new-age communication channels
  • Develop and manage pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned quotas
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, and competitors
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals, presentations and demonstrations.
  • Manage a growing channel with appropriate programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master Degree a plus
  • A proven sales, channel and partnership deal hunter and closer
  • Ability to absorb information quickly and deliver at pace
  • Creative and able to build a vision with prospects and channel partners
  • Metrics driven and an appreciation of sales data
  • A combination of self-starter, leader, collaborative partner across organizations
  • Forever curious about the status quo
  • 5+ years of inside software sales (SaaS) experience
  • Strong preference for human capital technology or solutions experience
  • Proven track record selling feature rich technology into small and medium businesses
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills with top-notch customer centric approach
  • Exceptional professional presence and business acumen
  • Experience selling to SMBs and navigating medium enterprise organizations directly and through channels
  • Must work well both independently and in a team-selling environment, able to keep an open communication particularly when working remotely
