Position Summary

The Staff Accountant Financial will be an integral part of the Finance team partnering with the Controller and CFO on financial related areas. Key functions of this role will be general accounting, budgets and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete monthly journal entries
• Financial statement preparation
• General ledger reconciliations
• Manage Deferred revenue
• General ledger management balanced
• General ledger coding review
• Prepare Budgets
• Utilize 10825 Quickbooks and oversee lease management
• Manage Accounts Payable contract management/procurement
• Royalty payment management
• Backup for Accounts Payable and Sales Tax as needed
• Handle Cash management ACH payments, positive pay, ACH exceptions
• American Express credit card management
• Manage Concur (BOA credit card) management/audit
• Review and oversee Contract close back up/year end
• New vendor review
• Unclaimed property
• Other projects/tasks as assigned based on need

Requirements

Professional Requirements

• 3-5 years of prior accounting experience
• Must be highly organized, attentive to detail and proactive.
• Job discreetness and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to move back and forth between tasks
• Ability to multi-task, deal with interruptions and frequently changing priorities, while meeting deadlines
• Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal correspondence
• Commitment to detailed financial accounting and reporting
• Understanding that individual priorities may take a back seat to customer needs and overall company goals
• Other projects/tasks as assigned based on needs

Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field required.

Master’s degree preferred, but not required.

Substantial experience with an ERP (G/L, A/P, A/R, etc.), NetSuite experience a plus.
