The Opportunity As Afterpay’s Product Manager - Ecommerce Integrations, you'll lead our ecommerce integrations and experiences for merchants.
Afterpay partners with ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, Big Commerce, Salesforce and more to deliver innovative experiences that help merchants grow their business with Afterpay.You'll partner with business development, sales, merchant services, design, analytics and engineering teams to define end-to-end solutions to grow new and existing partnerships. The SPM will be familiar with a wide range of retail and ecommerce tactics, platforms and technologies. The SPM will define success metrics and go-to-market strategies to create value for our customers, merchant partners and Afterpay globally.
We are much more than our job descriptions, but here’s where you will begin.• Work with business development, sales and merchant services to define merchant needs and understand technical requirements• Define success measures and prioritize key initiatives to drive merchant growth across all platforms and geographies• Build a strategy for supporting partnerships and merchants as Afterpay develops and rolls out new product initiatives• Drive process improvement as well as product development to improve the end-to-end experience for our merchant partners• Work with data and partner teams to ensure that we have proper end-to-end instrumentation to measure and improve experiences• Define A/B testing programs to optimize landing pages and other high-leverage experiences• Write great user stories, epics and acceptance criteria to guide development teams• Create and manage product roadmaps and backlog• Work with dev leads on planning and sprint process
Who are you? (Qualifications) • BS or BA (Computer Science or related preferred), MBA or advanced degree helpful• 5+ years of product management experience, experience managing other PMs a plus• Significant experience with retail, ecommerce or payments• Excellent communication skills. Bias to action. Ability to build relationships at all levels across the company and really learn what drives the business
Preferred Qualifications• Familiarity with merchants’ technology stacks - ecommerce platforms, payment gateways or order management systems• Experience leading and working with geographically dispersed teams a plus• Be brave. Be curious. Be cool. Be humble. A sense of humor, a willingness to laugh at danger and an appreciation of the ironic are all pluses
