An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead for our General Practice Nursing Team. The successful post holders will work closely with our second Clinical lead for the General Practice Nursing Team and the Director of Nursing, to provide leadership to the General Practice Nursing Teams at Babylon.
You will be a key member of the team and entrusted to develop the service to be effective as it can be with your experience, passion and ability to streamline processes.We require a creative, dependent and supportive Lead Nurse to help deliver our award-winning service and assist patients who are required to attend a clinic for further assessment or undertake LTC management and routine Practice Nurse duties like smear etc. We are offering a unique opportunity to work in one of our clinics and to work on a varied caseload across a range of patients whom have signed up to our service via the Babylon App which is the first digital nursing portal
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of the Nursing Team providing support, guidance and direction to achieve optimal standards of care, (currently this team includes Practice Nurses, Healthcare assistants and Phlebotomists). The expectation of this role is 30% clinical amp; 70% management.The London Babylon GP at Hand clinics, as an operational model have been divided into two clusters. As the Clinical lead for General Practice Nursing will be responsible for the nursing management of one these cluster.This is a full-time role, but we may consider 4 days a week for the right candidate.Highly competitive and in addition, indemnity will be provided.As our ideal candidate, we will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the NHS. Experience of the private sector would be an advantage.What to expect: You will report to the Director of Nursing You will assist with both the day to day functioning and the future development of our UK clinical service You will provide support to our dedicated team of GPs, ANPs, Nursing team as well as to our recruitment, onboarding and clinical liaison teams You will consult with patients digitally and face to faceMain responsibilities You will be responsible for Line management of the General Practice Nursing team You will promote and demonstrate effective communication with the General Practice Nursing team You will be responsible for rota planning, monitoring of annual leave, absence and sickness You will conduct appraisals and provide regular constructive feedback and supervision to directreports to support their professional development. You will coach and supervise Nursing staff through the revalidation process. You will work closely with the DoN to develop and plan CPD for the Nursing team. You will be responsible for recruitment of the Nursing team in line with Babylon Health procedures and standards and ensure an effective induction programme is completed. You will lead on Nursing team incidents, complaints, and significant events including conducting the investigations and making recommendations for improvement. You will have an active involvement in the management of the Nursing team’s risk register You will provide high quality nursing care at all times in accordance with NMC code of conduct and scope of practice. You will act as the Infection Prevention and Control lead, leading on the management, implementation and training of infection control systems and procedures. You will develop, review and implement Nursing Policies and SOPs as required. You will work alongside the Director of Nursing and Medical Directors to establish the best ways of achieving QOF and delivering enhanced services. You will contribute to the development and improvement of nursing services for Babylon Health in both the physical and digital environment. You will ensure all nursing services conform to CQC and other statutory requirements, with the aim of reaching and maintaining the ‘outstanding’ gold standard.
