As the ER Lead for the US you will work closely with the People and Performance Business Partners and Legal team to provide insights and proactive interventions to drive the business forward and to ensure that we maintain our high performance culture.
Moreover, you will play a crucial role in shaping our employee policies and helping integrate a global mindset into everything we do
You'll spend time on the following:
  • Managing and growing the ER function in the US/APAC
  • Providing strategic Employee Relations support, business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization
  • Proactively assessing team and manager development needs, making recommendations, and implementing appropriate solutions
  • Triage employee relations casework, identifying potential solutions to address different case types and actioning appropriately using guidelines
  • Helping balance risk, taking into account employee, business and company perspectives
  • Partnering closely with regional People partners on global strategy and execution
  • Building internal community (e.g. supports others, shows respect, acts as an ally, onboards new hires, connects people, collaborates well, drives inclusion)
  • Effectively managing cases across all divisions of the US amp; APAC business up to and including claims. Cases will include but are not limited to disciplinary, grievance, performance management, probation, short and long term sickness absence
  • Supporting the business with any Organisational Design changes to provide expert ER advice / support
  • Taking ownership of developing the tools required to effectively manage employee relations
  • Maintaining and managing an accurate case log in order to provide data to the business. Provide insights and proactive recommendations based on trends/key themes
  • Usage of ER ticketing system for key ER issues, and to analyze data and provide metrics/determine interventions
  • Managing the ER US amp; APAC policy review, identifying legal risk or gaps and use your initiative to create global ER policies that are fit for purpose and scalable
  • Communicating forthcoming legislative changes in good time for changes to be made / implemented
  • Working with People Operations and Procurement to support the selection and implementation of new suppliers in this area (e.g. Occupational Health)
We're excited about you if you have:
  • 5+ years experience in an Employee Relations role within a tech or healthcare environment (ideally)
  • Demonstrable project management and change management experience
  • Experience using data to identify insights that drive action
  • Experience helping global and/or matrix organizations scale
  • Proven experience leading, growing, and scaling a team of experienced ER professionals
  • Solid employment law knowledge and up to date knowledge with legislative changes and recent case law
