About the teamThe User Growth team’s mission is to make Quizlet the go-to destination for learners everywhere looking to practice and master whatever they are trying to learn, bringing the magic of Quizlet to 1.5 billion students worldwide. We’re striving to make Quizlet the most advanced international growth company in the EdTech industry. Our work runs the gamut from making sure we stay up to speed with SEO best practices to bring more visitors to Quizlet’s site, to improving signup and onboarding experiences to accelerate new user growth, to personalizing communications and motivation tactics to bring users back to Quizlet more often to continue their learning journeys.
About the roleThe User Growth team includes an Activation Pod focused on new user signup and onboarding. We are looking for a Product Manager for this pod who will partner cross-functionally with the team’s engineering manager, designer, analyst, and engineers to build a delightful and engaging new user experience that is increasingly personalized to each individual learner based on the country she is from, the primary language she speaks, the school she attends, the subjects she studies, and the academic goals she hopes to achieve. In this Role, you will:
  • Define the product vision for Quizlet’s new user activation efforts, including student signup and onboarding
  • Be responsible for the new user activation funnel, identifying the most significant areas of opportunity to convert more visitors into repeated, engaged Quizlet users
  • Partner with the user research and design teams to conduct user interviews and perform other qualitative market research to inform our product roadmap
  • Prioritize product ideas and ship experiments to deliver a delightful and engaging new user experience that is increasingly personalized to every individual user’s needs
  • Coordinate with marketing to ensure users receive personalized communications through email, mobile push notifications, and other channels to support a great product experience
  • Own metrics for new user growth in the U.S. and international markets, working with an analyst to conduct relevant analyses and share regular updates to the executive team
  • Be the authority on new user activation at Quizlet, and push our thinking forward about how to deliver the best possible signup and onboarding experience for every user
What you bring to the table:
  • You have 2+ years of PM experience, ideally on a team responsible for moving one or more user growth metrics such as traffic, signups, engagement, or retention
  • You bring a user-centric approach to product management with a proven track record for building and testing delightful user experiences and delivering quantifiable results
  • You have strong quantitative skills, and enjoy applying them to your work through impact modeling and experiment analysis
  • You have experience running A/B tests and understand
