Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced sales executive to help grow our pipeline and meet sales targets, as well as manage customer relationships and close strategic opportunities. Our sales executive will help grow Evolv’s presence across a broad space that includes sports and entertainment venues, tourist attractions, transportation hubs, schools, manufacturing/distribution sites, places of worship, convention spaces, office spaces, and government facilities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by qualifying prospects, developing solutions that help customers achieve better security and patron/employee experience, managing and negotiating with clients, and closing. Responsibilities will include:

  • Building and managing pipeline in a particular territory to achieve or exceed annual quota
  • Traveling to clients across your given territory to have meaningful discussions about technology and operational solutions
  • Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  • Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through internal relationships, networking, customer references and marketing support
  • Scheduling and leading potential client conversations with a strong emphasis on listening to their needs and helping achieve their goals
  • Preparing and delivering technical and operational presentations on products and services
  • Creating frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data
  • Participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  • Negotiating/closing deals
  • Navigating prospect objections and having unique conversations about tradeoff analysis
  • Developing and communicating realistic ROI calculations, demand calculations
  • Ability to present product demonstrations in a live environment that demonstrates the system capabilities relative to their needs
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve better results
  • Gathering feedback from customers or prospects and sharing with internal teams
  • Working closely with distribution and reseller partners as well as performing direct sales

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of selling complex solutions to enterprise and strategic customers in multiple vertical markets
  • Proven track record of selling a disruptive product
  • Proven ability to work independently within a defined region
  • History of creating and maintaining relationships
  • Strong consultation skills and excellent solutions knowledge
  • Strategic account planning and execution skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas
  • Attention to detail and insistence on excellence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and facilitate discussions in order to reach agreed upon recommendations
  • Work well in a team setting with Solutions Engineers, Marketing, Field Service and Sales Operations team

Desired qualifications:

  • Military, intelligence, or law enforcement, Homeland Security, SLED experience
  • Hardware and SaaS experience
  • Experience working with CRM such as and/or HubSpot
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, public relations, communications and/or related field
  • Experience selling into an existing network of sports, entertainment, and facility security
  • Experience as an operator or technical SME in security technology, security operations
  • Experience selling to Chief Security Officers, Director of Security, General Managers, Venue Directors and other key leaders within venues and facilities
  • Relevant certifications and training in Security, Cybersecurity or other applicable fields
