About Medallia’s Market Intelligence Team:The Market Intelligence team develops critical market insights that help shape Medallia’s organizational strategy. We take a data-driven approach to uncover new growth opportunities, influence prospective sales deals, and produce industry-leading research for the experience management category Medallia created.
The Role:As a Senior Analyst, you will tackle real business problems by analyzing operational, customer, and financial data, using some of the world’s largest customer feedback datasets. You will leverage your quantitative background to build data-driven business cases, assess the financial impact of improving customer and employee experiences, and solve unanswered questions on our research agenda. Mindful of the bigger picture, you’ll also be thinking about how to develop new datasets and insights that inform Medallia’s broader go-to-market strategies. This role will position you for many career growth options at the intersection of customer experience, management consulting, research, and data science.Responsibilities
  • Deliver data-driven consulting projects, build business cases, and assess the financial impact of improved customer and employee experience across client organizations
  • Use statistical, regression, and machine learning techniques to help clients get the most out of their data and provide strategic recommendations that improve customer experience and increase customer loyalty
  • Engage with clients and internal stakeholders, communicating ideas to various audiences (both technical and non-technical)
  • Build new datasets by combining data from multiple sources
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of experience in strategic consulting, data analysis, or other quantitative research roles
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations to a variety of audiences
  • 2+ years of statistical analysis experience working with statistical software packages and/or scripting languages (e.g., R, Python, or STATA)
  • 10% travel, domestically and internationally
  • Pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of customer and employee experience, or related technology or industry experience
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
