Job Description

The Director, Strategic Programs will be responsible for optimizing existing channel performance and developing new commercial partnerships to further expand Ovia’s distribution presence and market dominance. Reporting to the General Manager, Enterprise, you will work towards supporting strategic plans, operational models and metrics while capturing and syndicating best practices for ecosystem development. The role will interface closely with key internal constituents including stakeholders from marketing, sales, finance, product, legal, and senior leadership.

The overall success of the role will be determined by progress in building new ecosystems, stakeholder alignment and satisfaction, and increasing revenue and market defensibility across the Enterprise verticals.

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the GM of Enterprise to identify and drive strategic business development opportunities with the primary goals of diversifying revenue and audience for Ovia Health Enterprise business.
  • Develop and manage the deal pipeline for new business development partnership opportunities (with the exception of existing/contracted platforms).
  • Serve as day-to-day point person for all partnership activation and new strategic initiatives, including participating in regular pipeline calls, quarterly meetings and annual reviews.
  • Lead the analysis of current and projected partnerships portfolio to determine optimal business strategy.
  • Drive new business initiatives and partnerships that result in tangible revenue growth.
  • Oversee new partnerships (from exploration, due diligence, financial modeling to execution and activation). This includes negotiating partner agreements, shepherd deals through contracting and overseeing key partnerships post-close, often as a key point of contact
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Clinical, Legal) to ensure successful partnership implementation(s), including requirements building and proactively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support special projects tied to Business Development goals to drive new revenue opportunities
  • Analyzes major competitor strategies and maintains a deep understanding of the digital health landscape, presenting to Enterprise Commercial Team changing patterns of competition on a quarterly basis
  • Consolidates data, analyses and recommendations into concise business plans
  • Develop criteria for partnership evaluation and reporting metrics (includes creating a repeatable and consistent reporting framework within SalesForce for monitoring the progress against those plans)
  • Be a strategic thought-partner to the Enterprise leadership team
  • Serve as an ambassador to the market - maintain an expert level knowledge of the company’s products and services and be ready to support direct marketing/sales outreach for on-site meetings with potential clients and/or partners


Requirements

  • 5+ years of health amp; wellness digital health and/or healthcare industry experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in a BD or partnerships, consulting, and/or deal-making role.
  • Experience in sales and/or marketing lead generation strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with channel partners, platform aggregators and consultants preferred.
  • A passion and curiosity for the digital health landscapes, and a keen ability to filter the noise and hone in on opportunities that will drive real growth
  • The ability to lead teams through influence, comprised of both internal and external constituents often under tight timeframes
  • A solid track record of negotiating and executing agreements with a broad range of partners with an ability to lead, structure and negotiate deal terms
  • A clear and effective communication style

  • The ability to distill big picture, strategic thinking while not losing track of critical details
