Job Description

The Building Engines platform improves net operating income across the world’s most successful Commercial Real Estate (CRE) portfolios. Our customers deliver the best occupant experience, increase their revenue, and reduce their operating costs by using our innovative building operations software platform, Prism. We are looking for a talented, versatile, and energetic marketer to help lead Building Engines’ content strategy. Thought leadership, blogging, campaign messaging this person will play a key role in delivering the assets that power our demand gen and digital initiatives.

The role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and will initially lead a team of 1 direct report.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop strategies to further Building Engines’ position as a thought leader in the CRE technology space
  • Collaborate with demand generation team to develop and execute content strategies in support of key campaigns and goals (digital, email, etc.)
  • Work with product marketing to support deliverables for new product releases, sales enablement and more
  • Communicate with sales and other departments to identity new content requirements and market trends
  • Write and create content across a variety of key formats: articles, eBooks, case studies, videos, webinars, etc.
  • Grow and develop the company’s blog, including SEO strategies to measurably increase inbound traffic
  • Act as a copyeditor and reviewer to ensure highest quality of external-facing communications
  • Provide messaging for key channels ranging from email to digital advertising
  • Stay apprised of the latest content marketing tactics and approaches to ensure the Building Engines brand remains fresh and ahead of the competition
  • Report on key content metrics to track performance and identify opportunities to improve

Who We’re Looking For:

  • 5-7 years of experience supporting content and inbound strategies for B2B SaaS companies
  • Skilled writer and editor with an eye for detail (this is a must!)
  • Creative thinker and proactive worker who is always looking for new ideas
  • Strong communicator who is driven to cut through the noise with thoughtful, memorable and differentiating messages
  • Past experience as a team lead or manager a plus
  • Motivated by a fast-paced, multitasking environment (this is B2B marketing, after all)
  • Collaborative team player
