As our new Senior Web Designer, you will be deeply involved in our strategy process helping to gather valuable client and audience insights that inform the creation of detailed user experiences expressed as wireframes. Only then do we begin the visual design process -- bringing a strong aesthetic and respect for brand.

You'll use these skills for some exciting and meaningful clients who want to push boundaries, including the Red Cross, Wilderness Society, The Wilson Center, United Way, Georgetown University and more.

Requirements

We don't necessarily care how long you've been doing web design; more important is the passion and talent you bring to the table. With that said, it would be nice if you have the following experience:

• You have been in UX and Web Design for 5+ years and can hit the ground running.
• You maintain your own website portfolio with a large collection of inspiring work samples.
• You have the ability to design in a variety of styles, and execute unique-yet-functional solutions to websites' most common problems.
• You can create elegant mobile, responsive designs.
• You are collaborative and can easily participate in meetings with other departments, as well as with our clients.
• You are multi-dimensional. In addition to your design skills, we'd love for you to be great at something else. Branding chops would be outstanding.but would also welcome front-end, illustration, or animation skills. Show us your stuff!
