Fairstead is a privately owned, fully integrated real estate investor and manager specializing in multifamily property. Fairstead owns approximately $2.5 billion worth of real estate, comprised of over 11,500 market-rate, work-force and affordable rental units on behalf of its principals and investors with properties in 14 states and offices nationwide.
A Resident Liaison is needed at an apartment complex in Gainesville, Florida that will be undergoing substantial renovations. The Resident Liaison will represent the management company as a liaison between the resident community, property ownership and construction project manager to ensure timely progress of the project by handling day-to-day communications between all parties and troubleshooting any issues that residents face arising from construction. This is a temporary, full-time position.
- Prepare and deliver resident notices regarding construction and moving schedule
- Evaluate resident needs, including medical, storage or moving concerns prior to construction work being scheduled in their unit.
- Meet with residents to provide them information regarding construction schedule
- Inspect apartments for preparedness for construction activities
- Address any anticipated resident complaints, record the complaints whether open or resolved, and report the complaints and actions taken to the project manager and/or site manager.
- Coordinate with movers, storage companies and hotels etc. for residents to ensure everything is lined up in time for them to vacate amp; return to the apartment as scheduled.
- Meet with general contractor daily to review construction schedule and activities
- Provide weekly updates to property owner and management regarding resident concerns, construction schedule and related issues
- Provide written incident reports for any formal complaints filed by residents related to the project
- Providing access to units for the general contractor and third parties by strictly following management company policies and procedures
- Helping to establish and maintain good communication between all parties during this property renovation period
- Walk the project site daily to observe and coordinate resident and general contractor interactions
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent, must be at least 18 years of age
- Organized and detailed oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple requests.
- Experience in handling external communications between different parties, coordinating scheduling requests, coordinating moving and storage companies and other requests as necessary.
- Experience in email communication and basic use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Trait of being dependable and trustworthy
- Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work
- Must be able to climb up and down stairs continuously
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background screen and drug screening
