Job Description
Are you a skilled Fiber and CO2 laser operator with expertise in machine set-up and programming? Are you a troubleshooter who can quickly solve problems to keep production on schedule? Are you focused on quality and career longevity? If so, then we are searching for you.
We are Mac Metal, a leading metal fabricator based in Germantown, Wisconsin, and we are looking for an experienced Laser Set-up/Operator. This is an immediate opening with room for advancement.
In this role, you will perform all Fiber and CO2 Laser operations, support daily production requirements, monitor equipment performance, and collaborate with the team and other departments to optimize workflows and production schedules.

As Laser Set-up/Operator, you will play an integral role in our customer-centric mission supporting daily production requirements while sharing best practices within our team-based work environment.
In the position, your responsibilities will include:
- Make program edits for the safe operation of Amada Fiber and Mazak CO2 lasers including load/un-loader systems and other tasks as needed.
- Maintain a production schedule that will include loading material, unloading laser cut sheets, de-nesting of laser cut parts and sorting product.
- Assist Quality team in checking parts to verify dimensional accuracy and part specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments/operations to maintain a smooth workflow and make adjustments/recommendations to crewing as required.

- 2-4 Years of Experience in Laser Operation, Machine Set-up/Programming.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve, and capable of learning nesting software and downloading of nests.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, using measuring tools and exceptional math skills.
- Detail oriented and able to support our safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated work ethic and interest in finding a long-term place to call your work home.
