Job Description

Do you have a passion for crafting things out of steel and aluminum? Does metal fabrication excite you? Are you ready to take your Press Brake Operator skills to the next level? If so, then we are searching for you.

Mac Metal is a leading metal fabricator based in Germantown, Wisconsin, and we are looking for a Senior (Working) - Press Brake Set-up/Operator on 2nd Shift (M-F, 2:20 p.m.- 10:20 p.m.) with 3-5 years related experience.

We have assembled a team of in-house specialists to craft our customers’ visions into quality metal components from sheet steel, light plate, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel.

In this Senior role communication of quality expectations and monitoring of In-process Checks will be a key deliverable. Fundamental to this role you are to assist other team members in their skill development when setting-up the Press Brakes to complete daily production schedules.

With a variety of metal fabrication capabilities, tools, and techniques at their disposal, our team of metal fabrication experts focus on completing projects for a wide array of customers focused on maintaining a high level of accuracy, quality, and timeliness.


Requirements

Senior Press Brake Set-up/Operator Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily set-ups and programming requirements for the safe operation of Cincinnati press brakes that range in capacity from 75 Tons to 350 Tons.
  • Select tooling and create programs to support the current product mix and for the development of new products.
  • Lead team in helping other Press Brake operators in the set-up and operation of Press Brakes to achieve part/quality specifications.
  • Coordinate team resources to complete daily production schedules by setting priorities and sequencing to ensure efficient use of equipment resources.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve day-to-day challenges that may come about.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain a smooth workflow and make adjustments/recommendations to crewing as required.

  • Qualifications:

  • Must have experience working within a team-based environment and exhibit good communication skills.
  • 3 5 Years of Experience in Machine Set-up/Programming and Operation of Press Brake equipment.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, solid math skills and use of measurement tools.
  • High attention to details supporting Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
