Are you a passionate, mission-driven teacher who wants to help close the COVID learn loss gap? Are you looking to earn income over the summer?Then this part time role is for you! We are seeking teachers to provide small group instruction online to students during summer remediation. The ideal candidate cares about diversity and believes that all children are capable of achieving their potential with the right set of tools.
You will be teaching one hour of Math and one hour of ELA per day to groups of 6 students, 5 days a week for 4-6 weeks. In advance of the Summer Academy, you will have 2-5 hours of onboarding.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:- Experience teaching K-8 ELA and/or Math in the classroom
- Experience teaching in an online environment
- Knowledge of Google Classroom and/or Zoom
- A teaching credential
- Experience with remediation, intervention or small group instruction
- Dedication to advancing equity in schools
Benefits
The pay:We pay $36/hour. For 40-65 hours over 4-6 weeks of our Summer Academy, your estimate summer income will be $1500-2300.
