Responsible in the management of the day-to-day operations of the Admission Department of a 46 bed residential chemical dependency treatment center for adults located 20 minutes south of the Austin airport on 200 acres of ranch land. This is a new treatment program looking Oversees the assessment of prospective patients needs, and ensures their referral to the service or resource to best address those needs.
• Intake calls must be documented and processed in accordance with Intake policies
• In house assessments are completed with treatment referral recommendations made and documented; using the admission ASAM criteria to make decisions concerning the level of care for treatment.
• As a clinician, assists administration, physician, and clinical staff in the assessment of pending admits
• Plans, coordinates, and evaluates direct and indirect facility assessments and patient admissions
• Directs the screening of potential patients for admission into the program and initiate the integrated assessment process
• Administrative approval obtained for all admissions
• Admission paperwork is completed in accordance with policy
• Follow up calls are made to those failing to show up for appointments
• Pre-certification is obtained in accordance with insurance requirements
• Administration is notified of problems or significant events
• Safety problems are identified and corrective actions taken
Requirements
Job Requirements:Minimum Education Master's degree in related field, License LCSW, LMSW, LPC preferred.
Minimum Work Experience Residential experience preferred. Familiarity with continuum of care and ASAM. Assessment and intervention skills. Knowledge of DSM4 diagnostic criteria. Required Licenses Texas Licensed LCSW, LMSW, LPC preferred.
