Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Associate Vice President, Transformation Management position is responsible for the Enterprise transformation strategy, as well as for leading the strategic transformation initiatives for their respective business units. This position works to enhance performance through continuous improvement, digital transformation, operational execution excellence and leadership. Will establish transformation objectives, as well as implement, monitor, measure and refine objectives to ensure positive outcomes and alignment with enterprise performance goals. This is a Minneapolis or remote role.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enterprise Transformation Management:
  • Leads and supports large-scale projects incorporating a proactive and innovative solution to addressing business challenges and achieving organizational goals and objectives
  • Oversees team responsible for new acquisition integration activities from time of deal close
  • Support financial operating model management in partnership with SVP and Finance team
  • Evaluates and implements allocation methodologies to charge business units for use of shared services
  • Continuously evaluates cost of shared services and improve processes and procurement to reduce costs of services
  • Supports budget process with leaders including support on building annual budgets and evaluation of performance against budgets in partnership with Finance.
  • Provides financial support for the evaluation of vendor relationships and potential outsource relationships
  • Strategic Initiatives:
  • Assists in establishing and achieving Transformation Office objectives
  • Implements, monitors, measures, and refines objectives to ensure positive outcomes and alignment with enterprise performance goals
  • Works with partners to ensure strategic goals and initiatives are clearly communicated and executed
  • Ensures organizational alignment in the design and execution of initiatives
  • Develops a feedback mechanism to facilitate open discussions of organizational improvement opportunities and implementing agreed upon feedback
  • Provides support related to Mamp;A activity pre-deal close
  • Provide strategy for operational support of new products and programs
  • Enterprise Scalability/Operational Efficiencies:
  • Seeks out synergies across the business; establishes shared infrastructures, common systems and use of technology to support business processes
  • Develops and implements project management processes and policies, directing project management staff, and working with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs
  • Facilitates setting of timelines, dashboards, and financial benchmarks for each initiative to keep executive leaders current on the progress and potential red flags
  • Provides the processes, structures, and tools for individual project management and program management across the organization
  • Completes other assignments and initiative-based projects balancing company need, individual skill-set, and individual desire
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position will have supervisory responsibilities for program and/or implementation managers
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field is required; Masters or MBA preferred
  • Ten (10) or more years of management and leadership experience is required
  • Eight (8) or more years of planning or program management experience in a high-growth, dynamic, rapidly changing healthcare environment, preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic, operations, and technology projects and processes is required
  • Ability to multi-task and oversee diverse initiatives and individuals is required
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audience, required
  • Attention to detail and highly organized is required
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines is required
  • Innovative, creative, articulate, and able to work directly with a broad range of stakeholders, required
  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and collaboratively across teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, required
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective business decisions is required

  • Strong operational background and proven ability to execute complex projects
  • Proven project management capabilities; comfortable working under demanding deadlines and producing key senior executive deliverables
  • A track record of successfully negotiating across a broad range of potentially conflicted attributes including business, product, technology, branding, channels, and third-party contributions to arrive at the optimum strategy
  • Deep understanding of software and business technology markets, trends, and dynamics is an advantage
  • Track record for growing and mentoring junior talent, as well as leading team-based engagements
  • Demonstrated hypothesis-driven problem-solving orientation with exceptional ability to create structured quantitative and qualitative analyses, sound business judgement and problem framing
  • Exceptional executive level oral and written communication skills and ability to formulate and deliver insights around complex business problems in a thoughtful and persuasive manner
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous high-priority projects (often including project management of cross-functional teams and strategy analysts)
  • Strong financial/business modeling and analysis skills
  • A love for team-based work in a high intensity environment (i.e., a willingness to get your hands dirty and play whatever role the team needs and to operate against demanding deadlines for senior executives)
  • A ‘question the status quo’ and entrepreneurial mindset; a love for learning and natural curiosity
  • Exceptionally strong personal initiative, good business instincts, and comfort with ambiguity
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The majority of work responsibilities are performed in an open office setting, carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer
  • Travel may be required
  • This role can be based in Minneapolis, or remotely
