Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Channel Marketing Manager who will define and execute our go-to-market strategies and tactics for a diverse set of National Retail Account customers in the home center and big box segments. Additionally, you will use knowledge of the consumer, customer, brand, buying process, products, pricing, competition and market trends to drive profitable growth.

Channel Market Manager Salary: $82,000 - $110,000, based on experience (Gr. 11/12)

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Develop customer-relevant product and program launches with thorough go-to-market plans, lifecycle marketing plans and supporting product marketing tools.
  • Lead all customer business and product line reviews, coordinating with a cross-functional team (Sales, Product, Design, and Finance), to recommend strategic initiatives.
  • Present new products, merchandising, and promotional strategies to merchants and buyers and successfully execute market communication plans and new product launches.
  • Interface with our Branding team and external vendors to create and produce point of purchase materials.
  • Utilize point of sale, inventory, market share and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for customers.
  • Develop and execute annual promotional and demand generation strategies and tactics in collaboration with stakeholders from Sales, Finance, Product Management, and Brand Marketing.
  • Conduct pre- and post-program analysis to drive improvement and ROI.
  • Based on national and regional product sales, profitability and promotional activity performance, make recommendations on product (assorting, trade-up, mix, branding) and promotional adjustments.
  • Track competitive positioning, industry, market and product trends and adjust channel strategies accordingly to drive sales and market share.
  • Forecast and manage channel marketing budgets.
  • Leverage consumer purchase journey insights to partner with brand marketing in maintaining and enhancing the functionality and digital content on retailer amp; company web-sites, portals and social sites.
  • Up to 25% domestic travel.

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Business Administration degree, Marketing degree, or related discipline; Bachelor's
  • 5+ years' of experience in a Brand, Category, Channel Marketing, or Product Management, or Sales
  • Prior experience in the utilizing category management to secure mutually aligned and beneficial partnerships to achieve better market share, mix, inventory turns and profitability
  • Prior experience with home center or big box customers such as The Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's or Walmart
