TechFlow is looking for a Safety and Quality Control Inspector whose primary responsibilities include; inspection, monitoring, coordinating and compliance to the quality control program for all work performed by operations and maintenance staff consisting of all electrical, mechanical, HVAC equipment and associated systems (including, PM's and service work orders), alterations and repairs, and subcontractors to ensure that all requirements as specified in the Quality Control Program are achieved.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Examines any of a variety of goods, services or operations for conformity to established quality, health, safety, legal, business, ethical or other standards.
  • Verifies that established standards are maintained relative to such matters as transportation methods; building and facilities maintenance and repair services.
  • Verifies that permits or licenses have been obtained and are displayed.
  • Confers with officials, interprets regulations and codes and assists establishments in altering methods and practices to meet established standards.
  • Investigates complaints, prepares reports of findings and action taken or recommended.
  • Recommends changes in standards, administrative procedures, facilities, methods and practices.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work.
Performance Capabilities:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective technical, interpersonal, organizational and telephone etiquette skills.
  • Extensive technical knowledge and training in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/BAS control systems.
  • Knowledge of building architectural/structural elements including; alterations and repairs.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and maps
  • Present professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Type; operate a personal computer, with emphasis on accuracy, mental alertness, and neatness.
  • Understand and adhere to policies and procedures as set by EMI Services.
  • Promote and maintain a positive image of EMI Services to our customers, vendors, employees, and the community.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to EMI Services, our customers, vendors and employees.
  • Be adaptable and flexible in work situations. Establish priorities to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner.
  • Continuously strive to accomplish individual and EMI Services goals.
  • Polite, professional, and courteous to others. Demonstrate a cooperative and positive attitude.
  • Inform the QC Manager of all pertinent problems, irregularities, and other important information within area of responsibility.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures to include proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work.
Communication Skills
  • Ability to use correct English grammar, spelling, and sentence structure in written and verbal communications. Additional qualifications in this area are:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and coworkers.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense unders
