Position Overview

Global Citizen’s Marketing Team is looking for a Global Partnership Director with experience developing partnerships and creating marketing campaigns and on-going partner relationships based on shared goals.

Marketing priorities range from broadcast tune-in, ticketing music festivals, to general brand campaigns that help grow the movement. The ideal candidate must be versatile and has the ability to deeply understand different marketing objectives, then use their creativity and partner management skills to develop unique and impactful campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm innovative strategic partnerships that will help increase brand presence and grow the Global Citizen movement
  • Manage the full partnership cycle: make introductory calls, develop the deal points, close the deal, and envision/execute innovative marketing plans
  • Ideate, develop, and execute barter partnerships for all Global Citizen priorities, across all platforms (Digital, OOH, Print, Radio) that deliver value to both Global Citizen and the partner.
  • Develop marketing strategies for these partners that drive key KPI’s: new member sign-ups, action-taking, and television tune-in/ viewership to live events
  • Support business development team to develop ideas for paid brand partnerships.
  • Ensure timely and accurate development, trafficking, delivery, and launch of all assets for each campaign
  • Support Global Citizen Rewards team by helping to secure Global partnerships and connecting rewards into partnership deals
  • Drive new processes to improve quality, efficiency, and performance of partner management flows
  • Continually recruit potential partners via research, social media, and real-world networking
  • Support the Global VP of Marketing and work closely across departments (Press, Editorial, Social, Policy, Business Development, Merch) to ensure all consumer-facing platforms are consistent and in-line with campaign goals

Requirements

Who You Are

  • You understand that the partnerships function touches nearly every aspect of the organization and you’re comfortable overseeing projects that require cross-departmental support
  • You have a positive attitude, an analytical mindset, and you’re skilled in anticipating the partners’ needs before they do
  • Independent self-starter who comes with strong Rolodex at key agencies and clients and can get up and running quickly
  • Strong client-support orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong portfolio of previous marketing integrations with world-class brands
  • A high degree of integrity, passion for the Global Citizen mission

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years professional Partnership Marketing/Sales experience pitching and maintaining partnerships
  • Working experience in the entertainment /media /agency industry
  • Connected with a list of potential contacts across industries and platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills: adept at building and managing relationships, able to work cross-functionally, and able to communicate intangible results in a clear and compelling way
  • Adept at communicating with C-level executives
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Willingness to travel (post-Covid-19)
