Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) is seeking a creative, organized and driven Associate Director to manage key public affairs challenges, and lead editorial strategy and copy for thought leaders, brands and emerging philanthropies. We’re looking for someone who has a real passion for innovation. Someone who pushes past roadblocks and focuses on the possibilities over practicalities. In this role, you will work closely with clients to identify their needs or challenges and recommend targeted solutions. The ideal candidate is a person who loves thinking through messaging approaches, develops written copy that inspires, synthesizes results into actionable solutions, derives energy from working in a close-knit team environment and is eager to give clients a new way to reach their audiences and achieve their business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on corporate, public affairs, philanthropic and other client related campaigns and projects
  • Develop communications and digital strategies for our clients, including content development and amplification through paid or owned channels for organizations, companies and executive thought leaders
  • Analyze and help shape a client’s voice into compelling content for platforms and outlets from social media to mainstream news outlets
  • Write and draft strategic content and original copy for corporations, candidates, organizations and executive/thought leaders
  • Create and manage content calendars and social media campaigns, including long and short form content
  • Serve as a proactive resource for clients; track and solve client needs
  • Lead day-to-day project management across the team for assigned client related deliverables
  • Support new business proposal and presentation development as needed
  • Develop and deliver informal and formal presentations to clients and internal teams
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the team and clients as directed

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has/is:

  • 4+ years’ experience in advertising, marketing, PR client service or political efforts
  • Experience and familiarity with corporate communications, digital and online advertising
  • Familiarity with the digital landscape, interactive strategy, design, and production, as well as tactics to use social media
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional analytical, decision making and time-management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Excels in fast-paced work environments and juggling multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Outstanding collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and self-directed
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite

Salary amp; Benefits:

  • This position is open to applicants of all experience levels. The minimum salary expectation for this particular position is $78,000 and can increase depending upon relevant experience and expertise
