Job Description

Job Summary:

The Associate Marketing Manager will be responsible for the creation and execution of event marketing campaigns, delivering and executing marketing plans to support in-person and virtual event strategies, and support the data build project. They will also be responsible for creating best practices to ensure growth plans deliver on-target revenue.

The hired candidate will own a set of B2B portfolio events of varying sizes per year and be responsible for the creation and execution of their marketing plans and supporting collateral through multiple channels. These events will include both established repeat events as well as launch conferences. Experience in copywriting, digital/email marketing, direct mail, interactive/web marketing, and advertising efforts (SEO, SEM, PPC, social) is essential. Experience with virtual meeting platforms and WordPress a plus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Writing compelling marketing copy to promote B2B events within various marketing channels including websites, emails, brochures, social media, and advertising.
  • Develop, execute, manage amp; optimize the execution of integrated marketing campaigns for B2B in-person and virtual conferences ensuring promotions hits targeted audiences on-time, on budget and produces projected attendance goals
  • Work in partnership with internal teams including marketing, production, sales, operations, editorial, data services amp; design
  • Track revenue amp; expenses to ensure budgetary goals are met
  • Provide marketing reports on a weekly basis including registration numbers amp; revenue, tactics performed, analysis, and forward-looking recommendations to increase delegate attendance
  • Recruit media partners for marketing support of the event; manage amp; ensure activities of the program are executed per the agreement
  • Monitor amp; provide input into social media campaigns for each event
  • Launch, update amp; maintain event websites
  • Collaborate with sales team to coordinate campaigns to drive awareness of sponsorship amp; exhibitor opportunities
  • Liaise with the subscriptions marketing team to share knowledge and stay up-to-date with new trends ensuring the implementation of best practice conference marketing tools and processes
  • Use reporting analytics tools to review, analyze, and optimize user experiences
  • Analyze ROI on marketing tactics and refine promotional plans on a continuous basis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field
  • At least 3 years overall marketing experience with B2B conferences or virtual events preferred
  • Successfully pass a PEI-administered copywriting, proofreading and math test
  • Experience in private equity industry marketing preferred
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel to events if needed
