Job Description
The beautiful Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is growing and seeking more Patient Account Representatives to work from Noon to 8:30pm.
This position is responsible for verifying insurance coverage and estimating patient responsibility for patients being admitted for inpatient or outpatient services. Provides the Aamp;R staff with the most accurate data based on the information provided. Duties include, but are not limited to, accessing insurance website to verify insurance benefits, establishing calls in computer system, preparing billing packets, interviewing patients to verify demographic and insurance information and meeting with patients upon discharge.
Requirements
- High school degree, GED, or equivalent required
- Two (2) years’ healthcare experience preferred
- Previous experience with the Nevada Psychiatric/Substance Abuse Insurance Market strongly preferred
- Strong experience using Microsoft word and excel.
