Halcyon Wealth Advisors, located in Las Colinas, is an independent, relationship-based financial planning organization providing comprehensive wealth management, retirement income planning and meaningful tax strategies. We are looking to add an experienced Financial Advisor to take a senior position within the firm.
Summary
The Financial Advisor/Vice President reports to the Owner/Financial Planner and is responsible for developing new business, managing relationships, providing personalized investment advice, and servicing clients. In addition, the Financial Advisor collaboratively makes strategic leadership, planning, and broad executive management decisions to achieve the firm's strategic objectives. Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop new relationships and sales opportunities
- Promote and cultivate firm reputation among referral sources and the community
- Consult with clients investment strategies based on individual financial and investment objectives; deliver advice and conduct client reviews
- Identify sales and asset retention opportunities; including viable alternatives when traditional solutions may apply
- Member of the firm's executive committee; participate in all critical management and service decisions, including vendor evaluation, process design, and other tasks as requested
- Serve on the firm's investment committee; conduct due diligence reviews of investment managers used by the firm

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry allowing for a strong understanding of broker/dealer operations and financial services products, including but not limited to: equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accounts
- Proven experience working with high net worth and/or institutional clients
- Previous experience in the independent financial services culture preferred
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registration
- Series 7, 63 and 65/66 license required
- CFP, CPA, CFA, CIMA, or AIF preferred (or ability to obtain)
