Who you are
You are an experienced B2B-facing product manager with strong financial literacy. You have an understanding of business accounting practices and a proven grasp on the objectively accurate way that things function in the payment/finance space.
You are comfortable with maintaining multiple priorities and have handled resources.
You see the need to prioritize for both business and customer impact.
You understand the Retailer customer and their specific problems in payments reconciliation, invoice visibility, order reporting, tip payout reporting, and sophisticated tax and fee implications. You have supported internal finance teams as a partner/customer group to ensure the highest level of financial correctness and compliance for the business.
You are comfortable working in a regulated space and partnering with legal counsel to unravel things like state- and jurisdiction-specific nuance and how that impacts product with differing behavior expectations based on user locality and other factors.
You have a strong technical understanding of payment transactions, adjustments, and refunding processes and have experience integrating external APIs into core user experiences.
What the role is
This role will take ownership of Payments, Finance, and Reporting for our Retailer customer. We have a large responsibility to ensure financial correctness and compliance for our merchant partners (and ourselves!) in ever-expanding jurisdictions and evolving legislation. This role will identify and prioritize the highest impact and most urgent work to deliver value to our customers and the business.
Please note: this role can be performed remotely anywhere in the United States with the exception of Colorado.In this role you will:
  • Own the prioritization and execution of a Payments, Finance, and Reporting roadmap
  • Ensure the highest degree of financial correctness and transparency for our customer groups
  • Own communication of roadmap, projects, sprints, and progress within to key stakeholders and Product lead
  • Lead sprints with eng. team and maintain backlog of work
  • Translate the quantitative and qualitative customer findings into insightful and iterative action
