The DoinGud community is the brainchild of Manuel Gonzalez Alzuru, who was infected with COVID-19 in the early days of the pandemic. Upon returning home to Barcelona, he found he was unable to get help even though there were people who wanted to provide it. Inspired by so many coming together, Manuel launched the FightPandemics project with one mission in mind: to ensure that those who need help could more easily connect with those who had help to offer. Today the community is evolving from a help board to a marketplace that will create the space for artists to engage with their communities and sell their work while contributing to the work of purpose-driven organizations. From that simple desire to enable connections for the greater good, we are now a collective of more than 1100 volunteers.

We are looking for a Legal Volunteer who wants to join us in our fight against pandemics like COVID-19 and other crisis alike.

Requirements

• You are a passionate and committed individual who believes in using your corporate and/or commercial experience for the greater good.
• Provide pragmatic and proactive legal, regulatory, compliance, and commercial support.
• Advise on good governance and the effective management of legal risk throughout the organization.
• Set the standard for compliance, data protection, and information security, to ensure that we meet our ongoing targets.

• Qualified in Law.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Experience in providing legal services.
• Experience in the areas of law relevant to the team.
• Experience in the third sector and charity law is desirable.
• Experience in contract law, employment law, or IPRs is also desirable.
• An ability to analyse information; use good, independent judgement; and a willingness to challenge constructively when necessary.
• The ability to communicate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach to working and the ability to persuade and influence as well as promote our interests.

• Successful private sector experience as well as the ability to demonstrate commercial acumen.
• Have the necessary networks and contacts to assist in achieving our goals.
• Experience with GDPR

• You are proactive to collaborate remotely.
