Job Summary:

A Manager, Search drives strategy, optimization and execution across all in-house platforms and works to ensure the highest level of quality work, strategic thinking, and collaboration with both internal and external partners. The Manager, Search can drive all aspects of strategy and execution and will oversee and mentor any junior team members (Associates, Coordinators) so that they can grow in their respective roles. The Manager is expected to produce weekly pacing reports to be shared with their supervisor, along with any recommendations on strategic test opportunities.

This is a fast-paced, client-facing role requiring work across a variety of clients. Strong communication, organization and multi-tasking are a must as the Manager will act as a point of contact for the client team. This person must be assertive asking questions and be resourceful in finding answers. Vendor relationships are critical here and the manager will be one of the most consistent vendor-facing people on the team. Those relationships must be fostered well to maintain our reputation in the market and ability to provide great work and pricing for our clients.

In addition, a Manager, Search will be expected to help educate the agency on the capabilities within these platforms through ongoing meeting facilitation, note taking, and POV creation. With the speed of evolution within search marketing, it is vital to have a passion for learning and a desire to continually push the boundaries of what is perceived as status quo.

Primary Responsibilities

Assisting Search team with daily tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Drive high-value customers to interact with our clients’ products and services
  • Holistic ownership of client accounts, including strategy, planning, budgeting, and reporting
  • Providing strategic and executional support to team members on a variety of clients with different complexities and backgrounds
  • Keep pace with search engine and PPC industry trends and developments
  • Specializing in topics that require cross-team collaboration
  • Troubleshoot issues/concerns and work with online partners to resolve as needed
  • Manage relationships with search engines
  • Proactively communicate with client and internal teams. Prepare call agendas, and follow up with call recaps
  • Develop keyword lists, set budget levels, write ad creatives, test landing page messaging, landing page layout, audience segmentation, placements, networks, and 3rd-party tools
  • Perform in-platform maintenance and optimizations
  • Pulling pacing reports and monitoring for live campaigns to ensure accurate spend delivery
  • Produce and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly campaign reports measuring performance and effectiveness of search campaigns
  • Assist in training new employees regarding SEM best practices and internal processes
  • Mentors Coordinator and Associate level team members regarding SEM best practices and internal processes


Requirements

Need To Haves

  • 2+ years of SEM experience
  • Google Ads Search Certification, Google Ads Display Certification, Google Ads Video Certification, Microsoft Ads Search Certification
  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong foundational knowledge of search marketing concepts
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and develop recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a flexible, team-based environment and ability to learn/adapt q
