Job Description
Withings revolutionized connected health by launching the world's first Wi-Fi scale in 2009. Our award-winning ecosystem includes beautifully designed, easy to use connected devices for monitoring blood pressure, weight, activity, sleep, temperature, and more.
Now our devices are used for preventive health and weight-loss programs, telehealth and remote patient monitoring, and clinical studies. They are the key enabling technologies which support our partners’ strategies by accurately and reliably providing the data amp; metrics they need in order for their programs to be successful.
We are looking for a people-person to join our team in Boston as the US HR Manager, to help us bring Withings revolutionary products to the world. This position will be a critical support to our US workforce, managing compensation and benefits, taking part in recruiting efforts, coordinating internal events and communications, and providing the tools and other resources needed for all of our operations.
The HR Manager will be the US representative of Withings HR team, a crucial link connecting teams which span France, the United States, and Hong Kong and you will work closely with counterparts in Finance to manage the business of the US corporate office. Through this role, you will interact with everyone in the company in some way, helping remove obstacles to their productivity and looking after the happiness and satisfaction of the workforce.
This is a high-responsibility role within a highly strategic division, and we are looking for extremely motivated individuals who want to actively participate in the US office growth.
Mission
- Create an engaging, animated, and productive work environment for US based Withingers
- Manage all topics related to US employment in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices
- Onboard and orient all new employees in the US
- Inform and connect US and global employees with timely internal communications
- Administer payroll and HR information systems
- Coordinate health, dental and vision, disability, worker’s comp, and other insurance benefits
- Administer 401(k) retirement plan
- Manage US facilities, including IT amp; business service contracts, lease, insurance, floor plans, office perks, etc.
- Troubleshoot tech issues, including connectivity, account access, software licenses, etc.
- Procure materials and equipment as needed for the various teams, including forwarding materials to global offices as needed
Requirements
- Enthusiasm for Withings' preventive health mission and the potential of technology to improve our lives
- Desire to work hard in support of a diverse group of global teams
- At least 3 years in a Global Human Resources role preferably in a similar context
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience/certifications in Human Resources/Business Administration
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential topics with the utmost discretion
- Ability to communicate effectively about HR topics like compensation and benefits, safety, training and discipline, etc.
- Project management and organizational skills
- Active listening and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving HR issues
- This position will be based in our Boston, MA office and will be required to work in-office. Occasional travel; valid passport required.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, and a strong capacity for resilience and adaptation, in order to be successful as part of Withings culture of innovation.
