As we continue to grow, we currently have a tremendous opportunity for a Patient Translator who is up for the challenge. The Spanish Interpreter at Cardiac Imaging, Inc. is an important role that provides support to Staff with Spanish Speaking Patients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a vital bridge to provide proper medical and general interpretation and accuracy in a warm and welcoming manner
• Provide medical and general interpretation to patients, families and medical provider and other non-Spanish speaking staff members
  • Interpretations can be during routine medical appointments, procedures, or administrative interactions
  • Interpretation may be in person or by phone
• Expertly translates written communication for both patients and medical staff
• Ensures we are delivering high quality and culturally sensitive community health care to each of our patients
• Proficiently interpret information without adding in personal opinions, advice, or bias for Spanish Speaking Patients
• Properly documents all interpretation request, to include duration, purpose, parties involved and purpose (this would include patients who refused interpretation services)
• Possess a set of skills and follow professional practice standards and a code of ethics

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 2 years of interpreting experience required
• Excellent customer service skills and experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate written and verbally, in both Spanish and English required
• Must be able to work independently, within a team and under a stressful situation while ensuring the confidentiality of the patient
