Account Directors at MediaMonks are business leaders who can be a valued advisor and partner to clients and agency teams, and to support the larger teams in creating data-driven, award-winning work. They identify and champion great creative work and understand the importance of flawless delivery. They are an open and willing resource to team members in assessing ideas and directions, and providing guidance to push further - pushing creative and strategy to deliver better work.
All Account roles are inherently leadership roles - responsible for inspiring great creative through confident decision-making, positive collaboration, quick problem-solving, and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Partner with MediaMonks colleagues to deliver integrated solutions, identify new business opportunities, scopes of work and revenue
- Help lead the brand and clients across multiple integrated touch points, as they look to continue to push the boundaries of creative deliverables. Drive thought leadership and strategic deliverables for the future of the brand, and be able to identify and foster great creative ideas.
- Manage the relationship of the partner agencies active on the business.
- Develop strong relationships with both our clients and your counterparts on the Creative, Strategy, Production and Media teams.
- Immerse yourself in the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of your client’s business
- Coach and inspire the growth and development of junior agency staff via providing consistent feedback, training and growth opportunities.
- Internal lead on ensuring cross-brand collaboration on analytics insights and reporting, working with internal Decoded and external analytics teams.
- Engage in meaningful discussions with clients and partners to take actions to improve the business.
- Champion the agency perspective convincingly with clients. Is persuasive and articulate when communicating work and ideas.
- Demonstrate passion for the agency, the work and the client’s business.
- Oversees Senior Account Manager / Account Manager / Associate Account Manager, as applicable, on the business, and their work from brief development through deployment
Requirements
- 8+ years of agency experience required
- Bachelor’s degree from a well-regarded university or college
- Very attentive to detail and highly organized
- Comfortable with numbers and data
- Strong people skills - good at building relationships, comfortable conversationalist, with a presence that compels others to pay attention
- Diplomatic and empathetic leadership
- An effective communicator, strong writer and strong presenter
- Very accountable and committed to getting the job done
- Fluent in discussing creative, strategy and in navigating organizations to get to better creative output
- Ability to balance the best interests of Decoded and our clients and their businesses
- Authentically passionate about great work, your team and our business
- A good listener, someone who reads people and those in a room well (and adapts their style and response accordingly)
- Ability to head off potential conflicts and problems before they materialize
- Strong and creative problem solving skills
- Prior experience supervising and mentoring direct reports
