Job Description

Marketplacer is now building a team of sales leaders that will establish Marketplacer as the #1 marketplace platform in the US and Americas. Demand is already building with more qualified opportunities and in-flight deals than the burgeoning US team can manage. Bottom line we’re growing fast.

To match this remarkable demand, we are looking to introduce a Business Development Representative to our newly formed Sales team. There is great enthusiasm for the US Team’s first round of talent and a great deal of latitude to shape our direction as we become the dominant player in this space.

Requirements

Our hope is to field a BDR who can:

  • Hunt to uncover new leads and opportunities within our nominated target verticals through outbound prospecting and utilising sales prospecting tools including Sales Navigator to set up prospective meetings
  • Grow pipeline through the qualification and development of marketing qualified leads (MQL’s), partner leads as well as self-generated opportunities
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the business products, value proposition and industry requirements
Document and track commercial activities through our CRM

Traits we are seeking:

  • Knowledge of the SaaS/eCommerce space along with 2-3 years of Business Development experience
  • Strong track record of success in new customer acquisition
  • Strategic approach to prospecting and winning business opportunities
  • Autonomous and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, but also know when to ask for advice or support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of initiative and sales acumen
