The mission of the Vice President (VP), Strategic Accounts is to consistently attain revenue and quality goals through client retention and expansion by ensuring that SOC delivers frictionless customer experience. The VP, Strategic Accounts will report directly to the Chief Customer Officer and will be accountable for the performance of a team that is responsible for driving strategy and growth with the largest health systems in the country. It is estimated that the strategic accounts base will consist of approximately 25 health systems. It is expected that s/he is both efficient and effective as evidenced by defined Key Performance Indicators (KPls), and meet or exceed the defined budgeted goals and strategic initiatives for the quarter, the year and beyond. In the short-term, the Vice President, Strategic Accounts will hire, implement processes and define responsibilities for a team of approximately 3 direct reports, which will meet 100% of the strategic health system needs. This team will consist of Directors of Strategic Accounts. The Strategic Accounts Team’s ultimate goal is to deliver positive financial outcomes for both SOC and our clients while delivering the highest patient satisfaction. In the short and long-term s/he will act with a spirit of great opportunity and exhibit an exceptional level of personal responsibility to aggressively pursue outcomes that will position SOC to solve the national specialty physician shortage while providing the highest quality outcomes. The VP, Strategic Accounts is primarily accountable for increasing SOC's share of wallet and lifetime value through acting upon Key Account Management best practices, identification of opportunities for expanding our services, articulating how SOC is adding value to our client outcomes and positioning SOC as the primary partner for acute care telemedicine.

The VP, Strategic Accounts will have an active voice in the development of the company strategy through supplying fact-based market intelligence and will wholly support the company strategic plan, understanding that the goals of the organization will always take precedence over the individual. The VP, Strategic Accounts will work in conjunction with commercial and company leadership to create market plans that will increase the SOC share of wallet. S/he will act as an advocate for customer needs and wants, and will martial the appropriate resources to ensure organizational effectiveness in securing and implementing new contracts. S/he will understand and utilize the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data, collaborate across regional lines and with all corporate functions to innovate and accelerate results.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree; Masters preferred

Experience:

  • A minimum of ten years progressive management and operational experience in healthcare, technology or related industry with Pamp;L responsibility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key account management skills, leadership skills, sales process and negotiation skills, objection handling and team selling
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Executive credibility
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience in CRM utilization
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • A proven track record of success
  • A stable, progressive job history
  • Willingness to travel ~ 40%
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint , Word , SharePoint and MS Dynamics
