We are looking for a Full-Time Pool Attendant to test the chemical levels in the pool, ensure that everything is clean and in good working condition and watch the pool area. This position is not required to be life guard certified.

Job Functions:

  • Scans the area to make sure that patrons are safe amp; behaving according to the rules.
  • Maintains pool and surrounding areas during hours of operation
  • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
  • Acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency, including providing emergency care and treatment, as required, and contacting appropriate emergency medical services.
  • Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility, including but not limited to:
    • Cleaning the pool
    • Water testing; including checking the temperature daily and maintaining the chemical balance of the pool
    • Notification of Pool Operator in event of water quality issues
    • Cleaning and arranging of pool deck and furniture
    • Maintaining inventory of necessary pool and medical supplies
    • Inspecting locker rooms where applicable
    • Maintenance/watering of surrounding shrubbery/plants as necessary
  • Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the safe handling of pool chemicals as well as pool cleaning and sanitizing procedures
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with residents and their guests
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.

Level of Education/Training/License:

  • Individual must possess, CPR, First Aid, and Certified Pool Operator (CPO).

Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience as a pool attendant is highly preferred

Working Conditions

  • Saturday amp; Sunday 8:00 am- 7:00 pm
  • Ability to work major holidays (4th of July, Labor Day and VJ Day).
