Solution Consultant, IoT
Rigado is looking for an experienced Solution Consultant, IoT Solutions will join our Customer Success team to lead the implementation of Rigado's solutions with our clients. This position to partner with our sales, product, accounts team in the definition and design of large-scale Commercial IoT applications and projects.
Candidates need to have a cloud software and/or wireless networking background and be well-versed in both wireless protocols (especially BLE amp; and 802.15.4) and in Linux-based edge computing architectures. They should also have experience scoping and managing custom engineering projects and have strong client communication skills.
In particular, many custom client engagements will be related to the customization and deployment of our IoT Gateway. It combines end-device sensor connectivity, edge computing ability and cloud services integrations into an affordable, customizable gateway for commercial IoT applications such as Smart Buildings, Asset Tracking and Connected Retail.
Primary job activities include:
- Joining the Sales team on calls with Tier 1 prospects to address technical questions and gather custom solution requirements. Typically, over the phone, but occasionally in person
- Working with our partners (hardware amp; software) to define and scope solutions for joint customers
- Working with the Product amp; Engineering teams to determine the best solution for a customer - based on a deep understanding of our product amp; services capabilities. And looking for ways to combine new product development with custom client work
- Authoring Statements of Work for those Tier 1 customers that will form the basis of our custom services engagements
- Managing client projects through pilot installation, and production roll-out
- Occasional travel to client sites to assist with onsite implementations (once permitted and following our Safe Workplace Guide)
- Acting as a client advocate with internal Rigado teams
- Working closely with the Engineering, Product and Customer Support Functions - ensuring successful execution of projects that may span multiple phases.
- Act as the primary contact for a set of existing customers who will require assistance as they move from pilot to phased production roll-out of their IoT solutions

- Expertise in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smart Sheets, or others. Proficiency on other tools such as Jira, Salesforce and Microsoft Office products.
